The challenge
Wandoo Creek wanted the whole business in the cloud, with its email and data reachable from anywhere and properly secured. Wandoo Creek maintains playgrounds and nature play spaces for schools, childcare centres and local government across Western Australia, so the work happens at client sites, not behind a desk.
For a team of one to five people, that creates a simple requirement that is easy to get wrong: everyone needs the same files, the same inbox and the same calendar whether they're on site, on the road or at home, and none of it can depend on a single computer in an office. The catch is that every extra place you can reach the data from is also a place an attacker can try to reach it from. Moving to the cloud without security just moves the risk somewhere harder to see.
What we did
We followed the same five steps we use for every new client, scaled to the size of the business.
- Meeting and on-site visit. We met the team to understand how they work day to day: where the work happens, which devices they use and what they need to reach from the field.
- Audit. We reviewed the existing setup, including devices, accounts, email and where business files lived, to find the gaps before anything moved.
- Tailored quote. We quoted the scope Wandoo Creek actually needed, not a bundle of extras, with security built in rather than added later.
- Deployment. We set up Microsoft 365 and SharePoint, moved the business onto them, and rolled out MFA, a password manager, a business VPN, email security and EDR on every device.
- Handover. We walked the team through what had changed, how to sign in securely and how to get support.

What we deployed
Each part of the setup covers a different way in, so one gap doesn't undo the rest.
| Service | What it does for the business |
|---|---|
| Microsoft 365 | Business email, calendars and Office apps on every device, tied to one account per person. |
| SharePoint | Shared company files in the cloud, so the team works from one copy instead of files scattered across laptops. |
| MFA | A second check at sign-in, so a stolen password alone isn't enough to get into an account. |
| Email security | Filters phishing, malware and malicious links before they reach the inbox. |
| Business VPN | Encrypts the connection when staff work from public or untrusted networks. |
| Password manager | Unique, strong passwords for every account, shared securely across the team when needed. |
| EDR on every device | Watches each laptop and phone for suspicious behaviour and responds automatically. |
The result
Wandoo Creek made a smooth transition to the cloud, and the team now works from anywhere with security in place. Email, calendars and shared files are available on site, on the road and at home, and every sign-in, inbox and device is covered by its own layer of protection.
Just as important, the setup doesn't rely on the staff being IT experts. Sign-in checks, email filtering and endpoint protection work in the background, so the team can get on with the job.
Ongoing support
We now monitor Wandoo Creek's systems and provide dedicated support. That means remote IT support when someone needs help, and regular security reports that show what's been blocked and what needs attention, so the business always knows where it stands.
